About EDN

Improving communities — not simply completing projects.

EDN specializes in government housing renovation and capital improvements for housing authorities, government agencies, affordable-housing organizations, and public-sector partners. Improving Homes. Strengthening Communities.

A multi-generational family on the steps of a well-maintained public housing community
Our Story

A different kind of contractor for the public sector.

EDN was founded to serve the housing authorities and public agencies who carry the responsibility of preserving public housing. Traditional contracting too often treats those portfolios as line items. We treat them as communities — where every renovated unit, replaced HVAC system, and modernized kitchen changes a family's daily life.

That reframing shapes how we plan, staff, and self-perform work. It shapes how we coordinate with residents during occupied renovations. It shapes how we document, report, and stand behind delivery long after closeout.

What We Value

Professional. Mission-driven. Innovative. Community-focused.

01

Professional

Enterprise-grade project controls, safety, and documentation on every engagement.

02

Mission-Driven

Success measured by community outcomes, not just billable milestones.

03

Innovative

Smart-building technology paired with proven trade expertise.

04

Community-Focused

Respect for residents, agencies, and the neighborhoods we serve.

Our Mission

To improve the homes and communities we serve through disciplined construction, smart-building technology, and unwavering respect for the residents who live there.

EDN exists to elevate the standard of public housing — delivering renovation and modernization programs that measurably improve resident quality of life and protect the long-term value of public investment.

Our Vision

A public housing sector where every family lives in a safe, modern, and dignified home — supported by contractors who behave like partners.

We envision an industry defined by transparent delivery, measurable community outcomes, and a lifecycle partnership between agencies and the firms trusted to build for them.

Community Commitment

Accountable to the people whose homes we're improving.

Public housing is a public trust. EDN's teams work with the discipline of federal compliance, the coordination expected of an enterprise contractor, and the respect owed to residents who share their homes with us during construction.

We invest locally — sourcing labor, mentoring small businesses, and prioritizing Section 3 hiring so that every dollar spent modernizing a community also strengthens it. See our Insights library and contact the team to discuss a program.
